IOA Community ConnectionsOngoing Networking Opportunities for Organizational OmbudsIOA has re-launched our member-only Community Connections program with a new series of informal meetings for practicing and aspiring organizational ombuds. These will feature topical discussions facilitated by members of the IOA Board of Directors, Executive Director or invited speakers. First introduced in 2020 — at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic — IOA's Community Connections were created when we had to cancel our Annual Conference. These sessions provided space for ombuds practitioners to exchange ideas and connect with one another virtually. For this series, we will be offering two sessions on the last Tuesday (5:00 PM PT) and Wednesday (8:00 AM PT) of each month to allow for participation from across the globe. These meetings will be 45 minutes long. In order to create a safe space for practicing ombuds to share issues and approaches, the intended audiences are those practicing and trained to practice (aspiring).
