Examination Appeal Procedure
A candidate who fails the examination may appeal to the Appeals Committee for the following reasons:
The appeal must be submitted in writing within 30 days of notification of failure, and sent to
All appeals must in the form of a written request and contain the rationale for the appeal. Appeals must contain a statement of why the individual believes that the Fail grade was improper and must include all supporting documentation. The Appeals Committee will endeavor to render a decision within a period of 30 days. The decision by the Appeals Committee will be final.
A candidate who fails the examination may appeal to the Appeals Committee for the following reasons:
- Belief that an administrative, technical or procedural error has occurred;
- Mitigating circumstances, e.g., a request for accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was not adequately addressed (e.g., time to take the exam, lavatory facilities, suitable seating, etc.).
